Immediate Implant of the Left Central Incisor Using the PET Technique & Immediate Loading

The patient is a 42-year-old, healthy, female who attended the clinic with pain and mobility on tooth #21 (9). In the intraoral exam the tooth presented mobility and a slight extrusion. After the complementary exams, it was observed that the tooth had a false metallic post and an apical cyst. Although all the upper incisors had zirconia-ceramic crowns, tooth #21 (9) was the only one that did not have marginal gingivitis, despite mobility.

Partial extraction of the tooth #21 (9) maintaining the cervical/vestibular zone of the root (PET Technique) with removal of the apical cyst followed by the placement of an immediate implant, bone graft and a provisional crown for immediate loading. 6 months later, the definitive Nobel Procera crown will be made and placed.
